Hi, I am Mark Elliott – a versatile Cumbria based commercial and portrait photographer. I work on location throughout the North West of England photographing people, places and things. I also travel to other parts of the UK to undertake photographic commissions.
My work includes photographic portraits for individuals and businesses; photos which capture the mood and action of events; editorial photography for magazines; interior photography for hotels, bed and breakfasts and tourist operators; attractive product photography; business and manufacturing process photography and general photography for P.R./marketing purposes.
I work with individuals, couples, businesses, the media and other organisations and my aim is always to provide the highest quality photographs and excellent customer service.

Portrait Photography
I offer portrait photography services for individuals and couples, including Cumbrian models, entertainers and business people.
I use both natural light and on-location flash lighting to capture beautiful portrait photographs. I believe that a portrait session should be enjoyable, so I always try to make portrait sessions relaxed and easy going.
After the portrait session, I carefully edit and subtly retouch images to ensure that all finished photographs are high quality. Your portrait photographs are presented to you on CD in high resolution, print quality and web resolution formats.

Event Photography
I accept commissions from editors, PRs and organisers to photograph events in the region. These include sporting events, business events and conferences, news items and festivals. Event photographs are provided on CD on a quick turnaround basis in print quality and web resolution formats. Where photographs are urgently required, these can be emailed directly to you.

Commercial Photography
I provide businesses and organisations in with professional commercial photography services, which include interior photography, product photography, executive portraits and team photographs. Commercial and business photographs are supplied to you on CD as high resolution, print quality images for sales literature and PR purposes and lower resolution ‘web optimised’ images for your website or blog.

My photographs have been published in Cumbria Life Magazine, Cumbria Magazine and Lake District Life Magazine. My images have also been used by Lancashire Life, Border ITV, John Muir Trust and Cumbria Community Foundation. My scenic framed and mounted photographic prints have been sold in art galleries throughout the region.
I have been a regular guest on BBC Radio Cumbria, where I discuss photography and give photography tips and advice. I ran photography workshops for the BBC as part of their Springwatch events, and I teach digital photography to private clients through my digital photography training website: Better Photos.
I am author of three books including Waterside Walks in Cumbria and the Lake District and have written for national and regional magazines.
